We’re back in the country!

After seven weeks in Europe visiting 17 countries we are glad to be home. The flight from Athens to Melbourne was pretty good and we are slowly getting over the jetlag.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and messages while we were away. We look forward to catching up with you all soon.

Greece

We are having a fantastic time in Greece. We saw a parade in Athens and visited the Acropolis. The National Gardens were a pleasant relief from the hot sun.
From there we spent two nights on Paros and tonight is our second night on gorgeous Mykonos. It has been so nice to relax and enjoy the stunning beaches. Today we hired a quad bike to explore the island.
Tomorrow will hopefully be a calm day as we are catching a ferry to Santorini. Pete was a little ill after the last ferry ride! Looking forward to the famous sunset which is meant to be even better than those we have seen so far.
Miss you all… see you soon `-)

We decided to go on a day trip to Antwerp to add another country to our list…

The weather wasn’t fantastic but we still managed to see some sights; such as the old station, Town Hall and some of the many churches. Although the best part was eating chocolates, waffles and drinking beer!

The drive through Austria was beautiful. We arrived in Salzburg quite late and enjoyed some tasty vege soup and a hearty beef stew before going on a walking tour of the city. We saw Mozart’s birthplace along with many monuments in honour of the great rock star!
